Financial Literacy Bee - Opportunity for Students and Teachers
Calling all educators and students! As a sponsor of the 2nd annual EverFi Financial Literacy Bee, German American Bank is excited to once again offer students, parents, and teachers access to an online financial literacy course. The course, which will be available online at germanamerican.com from April 1st – 15th, 2021, is designed for middle school level and up, yet students of all ages can access the course. We recommend parents either take the course separately, or with their child, to encourage family conversation about healthy money habits. Teachers can use the course to help reinforce financial literacy education in the classrooms. The course can be taken using a desktop computer, tablet or smartphone. As an added benefit, the Financial Literacy Bee also offers an essay submission opportunity to high school level students (ages 13 – 18). Students in this age range who take the course and submit a short essay will be entered to win up to $10,000 in college scholarships awarded on behalf of EverFi and the sponsors of the Financial Literacy Bee, including German American Bank. New this year, German American Bank will also award a total of $2,000 to essay winners within our market area. Four winners will be chosen, two in Indiana and two in Kentucky, with each to receive a $500 savings account. To participate:
