DESCRIPTION:The Greensburg/Decatur County Chamber of Commerce and Decatur County Farm Bureau Inc.\, will be sponsoring a "Future in Farming" Agricultural Breakfast on Saturday\, March 30\, 2019\, at the Decatur County Schools Administration Building\, 2020 N. Montgomery Road\, Greensburg. Doors to the event will open at 7 a.m. and breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m. \n\n\n\nProceeds from the breakfast will benefit the Farmers Feeding the Flock effort through the Bread of Life. Cost to attend is $15 and reservations may be made at the Chamber website\, www.greensburgchamber.com. \n\n\n\nTony Hahn\, Director of State Relations and Policy Analysis for Purdue University\, will be the featured speaker for the event. \n\n\n\nIn this role Hahn represents the Purdue University system before the Indiana General Assembly and other state government officials. He works to monitor and affect legislation of interest to the University\, coordinates University- related contacts with elected officials\, interacts with the Indiana Commission for Higher Education\, and analyzes policy positions for academic and fiscal impact. He also works closely with the University's Physical Facilities team to develop capital plans and presents projects to the State for approval.\n\n\n\nPrior to joining the Purdue Government Relations team\, Hahn was the Deputy Director of the Indiana State Department of Agriculture (ISDA) and practiced law in private sector for several years.\n\n\n\nHahn received his Bachelor of Science degree in Agribusiness Management from Purdue University\, completed Masters of Science coursework at University of Illinois-Champaign-Urbana in Price Analysis and Commodity Trading and received his Juris Doctorate from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law at Indianapolis.\n\n\n\nTony resides in Indianapolis with his wife\, Beth\, and their two young children\, Evan and Caroline. He is active in the St. Jude parish\, a leader in Cub Scouts\, and on the advisory board of the Irsay Family YMCA at Cityway.
