Solar energy has seemed out of reach of most Americans for years. Things are rapidly changing, though: Prices have gone down by 65% in ten years. And incentives are in place (but will phase out).
The Greensburg/Decatur County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Lohrum Electrical of Greensburg, the Hoosier Environmental Council, the City of Shelbyville, and Friendship State Bank, will be hosting a free presentation on solar energy on Oct. 27.
This presentation is focused on discussing ideal locations for installing solar, ways to pay for solar energy systems, and opportunities to grow solar in the area and beyond. Homeowners, business owners, pastors and lay leaders, school administrators, city and county leaders are encouraged to attend.
This virtual event will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 27, starting at 7 p.m. and will conclude by 8:15 p.m.
