Executive Director for the Decatur County Parks and Recreation Department, responsible for overseeing all functions of the department and providing recreational opportunities for County residents.
Develops and implements long and short term goals for recreation, programs, parks and facilities to accommodate growth for the community.
Supervises department personnel, makes hiring decisions, coordinates maintenance operations of the department grounds and facilities.
Prepares annual budget, oversees financial records, claims, revenue and expenditures. Attends meetings of department heads, boards, agencies and coordinates with community.
Must be 21 years of age, with BS degree. Knowledge of practices in the field of parks and recreation management, planning and development.
Knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping , and payroll. Knowledge of grants and grant administration.
